In our 11th podcast interview, Tony and Mike sit down with Lisa Byrne, a long-time trail runner, avid “trail person” as volunteer and participant, and medical professional. With Lisa’s unique skill set as a trail runner and participant and a medical professional, she has lent her time and skill to many events as race medic. We picked her brain about what she sees most often, ways to avoid common race pitfalls (especially in longer races), and some extreme situations she has seen first hand. Also, we of course talked about Lisa’s running history, some of her race mentors through the years, and history in the local Duluth running scene.
